We missed strawberry season (there might have been a few left to pick) but we got there for peach and the begining of blueberry and blackberry season. Over The Weekend

We still have yet to see a weekend with nothing but sunshine although, if the weather people are correct then this weekend coming up will be our first. Since, going up to the lake just before Memorial day weekend we have seen nothing but cloudy and rain filled weekends. I still won't get in the water just to float/swim around (the water is still to cool) and its the middle of June. I know that by writing this I will be regretting it by mid-July. Considering the over cast sky and the CRAZY torrential down pours during the weekend I still found time to enjoy the water. Wait I take that back I got in the water once. So, here is a picture of my brother enjoying the water much more....

A Little Bit About Nothing

So, its Wednesday and I haven't had much to blog about. Friday morning I had a dentist appointment (oh, so fun (blah)) and they said my teeth looked great keep up the good dental hygiene. Then on Saturday Brandon and I headed to the lake with my parents where we looked at a few lake properties, tested out my dad's new (or new to us) jet skis, and tested out the new tube my dad bought at Costco (that huge one hanging from the ceiling). My parents found a house they like (although it had about 79 steps to the water), the jet skis worked great, and even my parents rode the tube together and enjoyed it until Brandon flipped them over (I for sure thought that he was going to be in big trouble with my mom (good thing she took off her glasses)). The rest of this week nothing to exciting other than my favorite summer show is finally kicking off tonight with the dancing. Yea, for So You Think You Can Dance! Oh, and I also found time to clean my house (it need it so badly). So, did I lure you to sleep yet?

Just The Right Time

This is a photo that I posted on facebook and after a comment I realized how unique it was because of the timing of Roger hitting the water.

New Discovery

So, anyone living in a home that was before the time of air conditioning will know what this is on their ceiling....

Today of all days Brandon decides he is going to see if it works. So, he goes up into the attic and finds that the fan is not plugged in. Simple solution right? Actually, it was. The fan came right on and was working. As seen below....

But here is the kicker. We have two light switches in our kitchen that do not operate anything at this time. So, we figured one was for the area that is supposed to be our light over the eat in kitchen area (which by the way is barely big enough to fit a small table for 2) and the second one was for the attic fan/vent thing. Oh, by the way the eat in kitchen area doesn't exist because when the house was first built there was no back door and the best area to put one in was the same spot as the eat in area and some previous owner just covered up the hole where the light is supposed to go with a white cover thing (it looks very nice ;) ) Back to the story. As the fan was on I came down stairs thinking that one of those switches has to be the one to operate the fan. Switches seen below.... Well, I was wrong. I tried every switch on that side of the house and nothing. I guess that is why previous owners did not leave the fan hooked up. So, I guess we will have to solve another mystery and hope that the previous owners did not cut wiring in the wall just to put in a window. Yes, we have a window on an inside wall. I know weird I can't explain it either.
